BIG DADDY’S SALOON
A TRIBUTE TO A MAN LARGER THAN LIFE
UNDER CONSTRUCTION / NEW ULM, TX / 2,000SF
Big Daddy's Saloon, a 2000-square-foot ode to the Old West, pays homage to the client's father with a rustic design that seamlessly integrates with the surrounding ranch buildings. The cost-effective metal frame construction, clad in wood, captures the essence of the American frontier. The saloon's centerpiece is an antique bar, combining aged wood and metal details for an authentic frontier watering hole feel.
Inside, a carefully curated seating area features distressed leather and cowhide upholstery, providing a comfortable yet rugged atmosphere. The addition of a musician loft enhances the entertainment experience, while a prep kitchen, equipped with modern appliances, allows for the preparation of signature Old West-inspired dishes. An office space discreetly manages administrative tasks, and an indoor/outdoor serving window connects patrons to both the interior and the rustic outdoor ambiance.
The design focuses on an earthy color palette, vintage-inspired light fixtures, and saloon signage to create a warm, inviting, and historically resonant atmosphere. Budget considerations drive the use of cost-effective materials and reclaimed elements, ensuring Big Daddy's Saloon captures the spirit of the Old West without compromising on authenticity or financial viability.
